 As many counselors as possible are urged to participate in VCA's Annual Legislative Day, on Monday January 29, 2018.

VCA LEGISLATIVE DAY ORIENTATION & INFORMATION

Please join VCA for this free event in Richmond on Monday, January 29, 2018 for VCA’s Annual Legislative Day. This important advocacy event begins at the University of Richmond Downtown at 9:00 am with a briefing about current legislative activities and “how to advocate effectively” by VCA’s Lobbyist, Becky Bowers-Lanier.

Prior to attending, make appointments with your delegate and senator.  Tell them how concerned you are about the state of mental health services and the strains on public education. You can find your delegate and senator by visiting: http://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov/

9:00 - 9:30 am:  Check-In & Continental Breakfast

9:30 - 10:15 am:  Advocacy Issues Update and Q&A - UR Downtown, Gallery Room 115

10:30 am – 4:30 pm:  Meet with Legislators and/or Aides

As a professional counselor, you can’t afford to miss this opportunity to make your voice heard. Please plan to attend Legislative Day and make appointments with your delegate and senator. Tell them how concerned you are about the state of mental health services and the strains on public education.
