Southside Chapter was formed in 1971.

Southside consists of Amelia, Brunswick, Charlotte, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Greensville, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward counties, and the independent city of Emporia.
